The Mod Installer isn't working ATM because we had to move our server. Don't know when it will be usable again, because the guy who made it is taking a break.

One question, whats this software got to do with the server?

Im new in this stuff, and got the some problem Sad and i was wondering do you need internet connection to run that software ?
Thanks!

Because 4MI contacts our server for updates, mods etc.

Wow 4MI is running in the background and using 25% of my CPU and im running 2.5GHz. Even if its broken, why is it using so much CPU? Does it do that when its working?

Somebody message the maker of 4MI and tell him to get off his
arse >_<

Its so annoying I have all these great mods I cannot install.

( yes, i know, an old thread )
You got point, VonDoom. It is darn irresponsible and rude to
supply a community with a tool and then refuse to support it.

The least the creator now should do is release a tool to convert
.4mi files to .rar or something like that, so we can use those mods
again. ( as there are many, which were not uploaded as .rar )

It is sad to see, that in an open community for a very openminded
game such proprietary mumbojumbo is tolerated, thats treating
customers the microsoft-way. A server that is needed to run a
program? Hello? As we see quite clearly now, apparently it only
needs to be shut down and all content is lost.

Big Big NO kudos to the creator of a worthless and now dead tool.

Don't forget that the creator of 4MI doesn't have a lot of free time and that he's working on a huge amount of projects. Besides, we will have our new download system up and running soon.
