Hi! I just intsalled the new Patch for GTA IV (don't ask why so late, long story Tongue ). Installed FileCheckFix (for V1.0.0.4, Update #5) & the installed Vehicle Selector V1.42 & Simple Native Trainer V5.1 (both meant for Update #5) Started GTA IV & pressed F3, nothing happened. Tried F4, nothing.
Then, I changed WeaponInfo.xml file to see if it would work. When I started GTA IV, all my weapons vanished! I though np, I tried to go to Weapons shop, & as soon as I reached the district, the game crashed.
FYI, I've Windows 7 Ultimate running, & in case ur wondering, I'm not new. It's only that my account got cancelled, I guess during some update Angry. TY & GL Wink

Hi again!
Srry for not replying for so long.
I got busy & had to go abroad unexpectedly.  Undecided
Anyways, when I got back, I tried it & it didn't work.
Same problem, I removed the dsound.dll because the loader wouldn't work with that.
I tried Vehicle Selector V1.42, & when I went in-game & pressed F4, nothing happened.
If anyone could give me some other links to a working FileCheckFix.asi , I could try that, since I've a doubt that my one doesn't work.
Again, srry for not replying for so long.  Grin

Here's the link for FileCheckFix.

And here's FileCheckFixCracked, if the original don't work.

Try checking out this:

Made a whole section on how to ASI mod, make sure you have all the most up-to-date files, as the ones Custo gave above are.

Hi!
Tried all 3 of them, & none worked Sad
Maybe this info might help, I use Windows 7,
for the GTA IV shortcut I enabled 'Run as Administrator' from Properties>'Run this program as an administrator' is checked,
I also removed the dsound.dll because if it was in,
then after I start GTA IV it crashes, & a window shows up.

The heading of the window is '[GTA IV] ALICE ERROR!'
Content is:- 'Sorry, but this version of gtaiv.exe is not supported.
Supported versions: 1.0.1us, 1.0.2us, 1.0.3us'
I hope this info might help lighten things up.

Also, before I updated, I was using Windows XP.
GTA IV worked fine there, although I tried once updating & this same problem came up. So, I reverted back to the earlier version, & everything was fine, all mods working fine, in fact, nearly everything in my old GTA IV was modded. From cars to weapons, etc.
Anyways, I hope we can find a solution soon enough to my problem. TY & GL Cool

Hi!
If u mean about the Alice Error, then, no.
As I said above, the Alice Error happens only when the dsound.dll is in my GTA IV folder.
Also, the FileCheckFix.asi is the latest one that I got from the links posted above by Custo & k6productions, so, they are the latest ones.

Dude,

Alice won't work with the new patch so you will get that error unless. You will need to keep checking for updates on the Alice script i'm afraid just put all your alice files into a folder and store it somewhere till you can use them again. Just stick to what you can use at the moment but be quick as the new episodes are coming out and fuck knows what they are going to try next.

The only mods you can use with the new patch are
1 dsound.dll - asi loader needed for loading asi's

2 Filecheckfix.asi/Filecheckfixcracked.asi - allows dsound.dll to work and also allows modded files to go unchecked

3 MMGHook.dll - allows certain asi files that are written for it to be loaded into main game when you start IV goto MMGHook section to see whats available !

4 scripthook.dll - Again allows certain asi files that are written for it to be loaded into main game when you start IV at the moment Sjaak's simplenativetrainer is the only one that works with it. 'I think?'

Hope that helps !

Hi!
Just to be 100% sure, ur saying that u guys r still working on Alice, so that it'll work on the new patch.
So, that means, we cannot mod with the new patch yet.
